Here’s what people are doing

Bring yourSELF to work day is very flexible and you can get involved to the extent you want to/are able to....

Individually....

You could bring yourSELF to work... just privately, without telling anyone. (Others will may just look at you and think 'He/she looks cheerful today...', or he/she is being particularly creative/helpful/flexible etc’ but they will never know this is why!)

You could bring yourSELF to work and you could tell other people about it, and maybe invite them to join in ... doesn't need to be a formal invitation, could be just at the coffee machine, on the bus, at the photocopier! Let them know about this website if they want to know more

You could bring yourSELF to work and you could talk to/email/send a postcard to other people in your wider network about it - could be friends, colleagues, other Mums on the school run, people you play rugby with etc etc. Let them know beforehand so they can think about it.

On the day, if you have any type of a meeting, training, get together, you could introduce this, either as a little aside, or as a formal item on the agenda. Let people know what it's all about, encourage them to join in. If you get people involved, we guarantee it will make your meeting more creative, productive, fun and make you feel even more of a team - so it could be a very worthwhile 5 minute distraction from the main business of the day

As a team....

You could decide to all do this as a team in a formal or informal way and see what happens. You could discuss the ideas beforehand and agree to support each other

You could share more about yourselves to each other – have a game where you tell people:
· One fact about you they might not know
· One skill you have that you don’t currently use at work
· An ambition you have in life
· A ‘high point’ in your life – something you are proud of, or enjoyed, or meant a lot to you

You could all go out into the organisation and enrol other individuals and teams and see if you could get them to join in

As an organisation...

If you have an internal newsletter, you could have an item about this and invite individuals and teams to put forward ideas of how they will be joining in

If you have a digital camera, you could take pictures of people bringing themSELVES to work, and put them on the notice board to celebrate

You could tell clients and customers about what you are doing, use it as an excuse to create a bit more of a warm, personal relationship with them and encourage them to join in if they feel like it

As a coach....

If you have skills as a coach you could get involved in assisting others to bring themselves to work.
